Coastal Luxury Reimagined
A Contemporary Sea View Renovation Designed Around Lifestyle
Perched in a spectacular coastal setting, this extensive refurbishment project transformed an existing property into a home perfectly tailored to its owners and the way they live. Engaged at the earliest stages of the project, Parkes Interiors worked closely with the clients, bringing design expertise to the initial concept and helping shape a vision that would maximise both the home’s potential and its breathtaking surroundings.
The brief was clear: create a contemporary home filled with light, generous open-plan living spaces, and carefully considered areas for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying the spectacular sea views. Every design decision was centred around the homeowners’ lifestyle, resulting in a home that feels both luxurious and effortlessly livable.
At the heart of the property is a truly exceptional kitchen that demonstrates how traditional and contemporary design can coexist beautifully. Combining sleek modern cabinetry with the timeless presence of an AGA, the space successfully blends two design worlds, proving that functionality, character, and contemporary styling can work together seamlessly.
Designed to be the social hub of the home, the kitchen features two impressive islands, providing ample preparation space, casual dining, and room for gathering with family and friends. Full-height cabinetry extends to the ceiling, creating a striking architectural statement while maximising storage and maintaining clean, uninterrupted lines.
A bespoke seating booth was carefully designed to offer a more intimate dining experience, adding warmth and personality to the expansive open-plan space. Coastal-inspired blue tones introduce colour and character throughout, appearing in carefully selected feature walls that echo the home’s stunning seaside location.
A hidden walk-in pantry sits discreetly behind full-height doors, preserving the streamlined aesthetic while offering exceptional practicality and storage. Throughout the space, thoughtful design ensures that the focus remains firmly on the spectacular coastal setting.
Large expanses of glazing flood the interior with natural light, while uninterrupted sea views can be enjoyed from almost every angle. Whether preparing a meal, entertaining guests, enjoying a morning coffee, or simply relaxing with a book in a quiet corner, the connection to the surrounding landscape is ever-present.
This remarkable renovation is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can completely transform a home, creating beautiful spaces that not only look exceptional but enhance everyday living for years to come.
