A Modern Refined Coastal Home Designed for a Lifetime
Contemporary Self Build Home
Set within one of County Down’s most spectacular coastal locations, this exceptional new-build home showcases a luxury kitchen where timeless design, innovative technology, and breathtaking sea views come together seamlessly. Designed as the homeowners’ third and final self-build project, the brief was clear: create a beautiful, future-proof home tailored perfectly to modern family living.
The bespoke kitchen is defined by a sophisticated palette of warm earthy tones and natural textures. Honed Taj Mahal stone worktops introduce elegance and character, while complementing the coastal surroundings through their subtle movement and organic beauty.
A large statement island forms the centrepiece of the space, providing seating for four and creating a natural hub for cooking, entertaining, and everyday life. Equipped with a BORA Professional cooking system featuring induction cooking, Teppanyaki grilling, and integrated extraction, the island delivers exceptional performance while preserving uninterrupted views throughout the open-plan living area.
Further enhancing the design is a striking bank of Gaggenau appliances, including steam and combi ovens alongside two full-size ovens, offering professional-level functionality within a sleek architectural setting.
Behind the minimalist cabinetry, a concealed walk-in pantry provides generous storage and preparation space, ensuring the main kitchen remains effortlessly organised. A dedicated drinks station complete with wine refrigeration, drinks cooling, a Kaelo wine chiller, and luxurious Titanium Leather worktops creates the perfect setting for entertaining.
What truly distinguishes this County Down kitchen project is the level of thought invested in every detail. Building on experience gained from two previous self-build homes, the clients created a space that balances beauty, practicality, and longevity in equal measure.
Framed by uninterrupted coastal views, this luxury kitchen is more than a place to cook. It is the heart of a home designed for modern living, where exceptional craftsmanship, intelligent design, and everyday comfort combine to create a truly remarkable space.
