A stunning new home was commissioned by this young couple to be built in the County Down countryside and would become their family home. Traditional in its styling with gorgeous period features; high ceilings, Georgian windows and large rooms sets a traditional hand painted kitchen was the obvious choice.

On entering the Parkes Interiors showroom Mr and Mrs Carmichael where impressed with the hand painted display and could see the design and craftsmanship would compliment their dream home setting, after a consultation with Brian Parkes the design process wheels began to turn. The space provides casual seating for four at the island and compliments the adjacent living space and the dining space in the next room. Either side of the impressive range cooker is a walk in pantry on the left and a laundry room on the right.

The kitchen is completed in Farrow and Ball Manor House Grey and Cornforth white and beautifully contrasts with the blue tones in the living space. The internal cabinetry is finished in a dark oak and adds a depth to the overall design. The clients chose Miele appliances throughout with an Ilve range cooker. Quartzite stone worktops have been employed throughout and completes the look of this stunning kitchen.
